Pablo Cervera Barranco

Pablo Cervera Barranco (1963), is a priest of the Archdiocese of Madrid, holds a doctorate in Theology from the Gregorian University, a degree in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas and a diploma in Religious Life from the Lateran University. He has been a university chaplain at the Complutense and CEU-San Pablo universities and was director of the BAC. He is director of the Spanish edition of the magazine Magnificat and author and translator of many books.

In the Ignatian field, these are some of his publications. In the BAC he has published, among others, within the Cor Christi Series that he directs, Operación a Corazón abierto. El corazón del hombre ante el Corazón de Cristo. Ocho días de ejercicios espirituales ignacianos (2018); El peregrino de Loyola. La Autobiografía de san Ignacio, escuela de discernimiento espiritual (2021); P. Luis Mª Mendizábal. Testigo y apóstol del Corazón de Cristo (2021). He has recently translated and edited in Didaskalos H. Rahner, Ignatian Writings [Ignatius of Loyola and the historical genesis of his spirituality; Notes for the study of the Exercises] (2021). Also in Bookmann, Ignatius. San Ignacio de Loyola. Relato del peregrino. Commemorative edition in current Spanish with engravings by Pedro Pablo Rubens (2021). He has translated M.I. Rupnik, El discernimiento (Monte Carmelo, Madrid 2016). Soon he will publish La dirección espiritual en san Claudio de la Colombière (Monte Carmelo, Burgos 2022).

He is also editor of the Obras completas de Joseph Ratzinger and translator and editor of the Obras completas de santa Margarita María de Alavoque (Monte Carmelo, Burgos 2022).
